loudspeaker suggestions

| I'm on the verge of picking up a new pair of Mackie SRM450s later in the week. I just wanted to get some opinions before I spent my money. What does everyone think? Do you think my money is better spent on something else? $650 a peice is what I'll be paying per SRM450. I'll consider other speakers if someone thinks there's something better, but I want powered speakers. I'm going to be using these when I play out at various parties and using my current JBL EON Power15 as a booth monitor. |

| what are you using for low end?? those are wonderful speakers.. but they dont hit well below 60hz, thats where can (sub) would pick up that range. The price is about right tho on what you are looking at. |

| I'm very happy with the low ends from the SRM450s. Definately better than my JBL's lows. I remember the TA meetup before this past one at Amit's house they had two SRM450s going and we thought there was a woofer down there. They're plenty of bass for the time being :) At some point I may buy woofers, but until I decide I need them (and can afford them) I think I'll be ok with these. I'll definately check out the bass again though and make sure it'll be fine. I'm not really playing anything major so I'm not too worried about not having enough bass. |
