just thought I'd share a story from work on Sunday. (I work @ Loblaws btw)
10am to 6:30pm shift on Sunday. Good shift. Nice and chilled Sunday.
Now, most people swipe out up at the front swipe clock, but I swipe at the back one, cuz its right in my department. So, I swipe out at 6:30 on the dot, go up to the locker-room to change out of my butt-ugly uniform. Come back down at 6:35... doors are locked. WTF. Everyone is gone, nobody outside the store. Hmm... well, the alarms aren't set, because the motion detectors didn't see me on my way from one end of the store to the other. I figured my manager was still around because the alarm wasn't set yet. So, I just unlock the door, and when I do that, all the alaerms do off. I look at the door for a few minutes waiting for my ride. Just cursing in my mind... luckily my ride got there before the cops came.
Oh well, silly manager... didn't check the store and locked up at 6:35!!!

| lol i work in a grocery store as well, except we all chill for an extra half an hour b4 we lock up so that we get paid more LOL |

LOL Mosaic...that's going to be funny when they realize that it's not a break-in and someone just walked out from the inside.
When I used to work retail (omg, WAY back in the day), 10 minutes before we'd close, my co-worker would run to the beer store attached to the mall and buy a 6-pack. Then we'd close the place, crank up the tunes, drink some beer while chillin' or throwing a football around the store or something, get paid for an extra half hour, and then go home half-wasted :rolleyes: :stongue: |

well, it looks like there's a tape of me walking out of the store after unlocking the door, then me turning around and cursing and swearing, giving the finger to the doors, and such.

LMFAO...busted! That tape would be CLASSIC. I wonder if TA can somehow obtain a copy to be forever stickied to this forum, lol...anyone wanna start a fund to "buy" the tape from the store? :tongue2
well, look at it this way...either you're going to get ripped for just leaving after setting off the alarm OR the tape will be shown at your next staff meeting just to embarass the out of you. If i was the manager, you can guess which option I'd choose, hehe :D |
