Opera 7.21 tanks on these boards

| I just downloaded opera 7.21 and was excited because it said "performance upgrades, etc" (although i wondered how they could make the bloody thing any faster than it already was.. it was like Lightning (7.1x). So I was posting and I hit "reply" and it took like 50 seconds and im like wtf strange. Then, later on, I went to insert a smiley (by clicking on their face) and it took like a minute for the text to appear. So apparently it has some kind of problem with whatever scripting is used for those and the reply button.. :sigh:.. wish i could go back to 7.1x now |

It's a tabbed browser that's an alternative to IE6 or mozilla.. I don't like mozilla, i tried it from pre 1.x all the way to 1.2a and.. it's just bloated, and equally buggy. I love cursor gestures and other features built into opera, that mozilla just doesn't seem to work so well with (I heard it has cursor gestures now and such). Isn't aol cutting funding for the project??? that will be the end of it |

yes, its overbloated.
That's why some of the mozilla developers started Firebird. It came so good that now their roadmap says at some point mozilla will be replaced by Firebird.
EXCELENT Browser. Best one I've ever tryed.
Get the tabbed browsing and mouse gestures extensions for firebird, and you're on.
