I said I wouldn't screw over arturobs other 'official pvd @ 34' thread so, in order to respect his wishes, i'm gonna do this over here instead, since it's allegedly 'out of control':

i think arturo started this thread so we could find out who was going instead of the other pvd thread that has gotten totally out of control, so my grumpiness started in the last thread....

dark angel... if you are going to make consecutive posts, try editing your previous one and yes we know you will be wearing all black with purple photons......

to everyone...... i know there is 8 more days, i have a calander too:whip: :whip: :whip:

is anyone making real meetup plans or anything, or is this gonna be another pvd teenybopper club page.........

maybe someone should start another

okay im done being bitchy:nervous:

hey guys, check the new york forums for a review of the most amazing pvd night in a LONG IN TIME!!!!!!!! he was on fire and played a top notch pvd in new york set. lots of banging techno in there... i would dare say it made up close to 25% of his overall tracks. he blew us away, all over again. best six hour set since twilo...

"Techno?" Did you just say..."techno?"
umes23
yes i did :)
it is because of the driversity and the INTENSITY of a long haaaaaard 6 hour set with pvd that i always say they are a unique experience that cant be depicted through a shorter set. i have seen pvd over 15 times, all the times the sets were short, they were nothing like the nights in new york when he and the crowd were actually feelin it. last nite, he had no mercy..... ing pounded away all night long.... so much ENERGY!!!!!
DarkAngel
Err...Paul van Dyk, spins TRANCE, NOT Techno. Maybe he played a harder set or something, but I wouldn't bet he played a set that sounded like Mauro Picotto, and HE spins techno, and pretty good techno, at that.

umes23
no offense, but im not an idiot. been listening to dance music for 7 years, thanks, and ive been following paul van dyk for 3+.
and if you had ever seen him in new york (and im sure our fellow-fans in berlin will attest to the same thing), it is a fact that he plays techno tracks in his sets, among others.

there is a ing reason he doesnt call himself a trance dj. despite whatever you think he is, he plays a lot more than that.... that is why shorter sets are not the whole pvd experience, there is a lot more to him. and he has always played techno in new york, just has not played as much as he did since the twilo days. he uses it to drive the energy level through the roof... and no, i would not compare the techno he plays to mauro.... techno pvd plays is just insanely loud energetic beats and yes it always leads to banging trance.... maybe it wasnt really a quarter of his set, but that is what it seemed like to me. back in twilo, his set always had a lot of techno.

by the way, what would you think tracks by people like chris leibing are? well, normally a pvd set might include one or two songs like this.... a 6 hour set like last nights includes many many songs like this. driving hard edge.... mind you, he also played a little hard house and some hard trance as well is a short progressive break in there too.
DarkAngel
Who the is Chris Liebing? And if PvDs ever spun techno in a set, I couldn't tell. And I have never seen PvD up in NY. I don't have anything left to go back to. And where the is Twilo?
