oh...haha
Well he seemed ok, nothing really substantial was mention. He went on about his colloborations, and how this album was very personal for him because of the studio theft ya da ya da.
He's incredibly "media friendly", and handled himself very well with the CNN cow. I was impressed. He was so cheery that it got on my nerves.
OH OH OH I just remembered, he was discussing how he does more vocals on this album and then he told a story about how (while on his recent tour)...he took out a guitar and get this.....he did the [I]quote fingers[/] and said (in ref to the guitar playing) "not usual for us 'techno geeks'". BAHAHHA What the is that supposed to mean.
The answer to why he said that is obvious, but how funny would it have been if he would of said "proggy break abstract house". LOL Or something to that extent.
I dunno, I still haven't heard this cd, I'm tempted to pick it up. RJ can you recommend it? |

This is a synopsys coming from my input and my brother who is the engineer for Scott Humphrey who is a producer in LA (Scott did mixing on "Movement in Still Life" and "Still Life in Motion" - both BT albums):
BT is a revolutionary as far as using technology to make music. Not many artists have harnessed the new capabilities of samplers, computers, digital editors and mixers to create such popular and powerful music. BT is a digital music evangelist - and probably one the most proficient people in the world when it comes to digital composition (what techno/dance-heads call "producing").

It's an artist album - a departure from the typical BT that one would expect. A great variety of sounds (some a little over-produced [not composed]) - from pop to ballad to breaks to trance. If you're expecting the same sound as the last two - don't get it. If you want to hear what BT is capable of as far as skill - it's worth while.
I've just really gotten into BT in the last few months - I liked his works before - but now I truly appreciate them. I met him in NYC about 4 weeks ago and he blew me away with his knowledge, skill and down-to-earth attitude. BT is an uber-freak of musical talent (I think he'd be a Bach or Beethoven if he was born 200 to 300 years ago), and really worth enjoying. |

Go check out the album before you buy it even, listen to the whole thing; http://www.briantranseau.com <-- He's streaming his album online there. And if you like it, you could get it autographed on Friday. Done & Done. :D
Yeah I feel so sorry for the guy though, they ask him that same questions over and over but he probably doesn't mind it
