Thursdays are 'Drums' nights at Jai Bar, I think this is just the 2nd installment, and the first one last week featured 'Chus and Ceballos'... The place is really nice, it's not a superclub, but is a really nice venue with a bit of a 'loungey' feel to it... I know drinks are really cheap on thursdays, I think $3, and the crowd is really good too...
the place is on the north side adelaide, couple of blocks west of university, and really close to the heart of the entertainment district...
cover should be $10 i think... you should check it out if you're bored and you've got nothing better to do, like me...

Jai Bar is at 214-216 Adelaide St. West (west of University/Adelaide, on the north side)
If anyone's up for it, e-mail Karyn ([email protected]) for reduced guestlist by 7pm tonite ($10 before midnight, $15 after midnight) and yeah, you can't go wrong with $3 drinks all night!
And I'll see you all down there... whoever is coming down, that is.

Definitly not a night to miss if you are into tribal and dark pounding percussive prog....this new night is very interesting and the venue is perfect for the Tribalism massive. Last time I was there...and forgive me for not recalling the DJ (Party Favours) anyway...the DJ was accompanied by a live four piece percussion group with bongos, tams etc. The interaction between the live and vinyl element was sweet and everyone was loving it.

well I definitely had fun last night, even though I came late and didn't stay long... really nice crowd last night though, lots of cool, happy, drunk people, lol
anyways, PD kicked ass, hearing Celeda - The Underground live after soooooo long was pretty ing sick! |
