This is the fourth track from Enigma's New album Voyageur.Mind blowing piece of work.I have it on repeat ever since i got hold of the album (from u know where:nervous: :o )
Any body heard this yet guys/gals.if yes,whaddaya think ?

P.S :This new Album is pretty different from Enigma's older worx..so as they say keep an open mind .

I'm a big Enigma fan as well, so I think I'll give a review of the new album Voyageur for any other Enigma interested.
Page of Cups is a decent track (actually one of 2 decent tracks, the other being From East To West), but not nearly as good as Enigma's older music. I personally found Voyageur a disappointment. It is very popish and mainstream compared to the four previous albums and the greatest hits cd. IMO it lacks the atmosphere, layers, and overall vibe that the other albums had. The monks and chants are gone and are instead replaced with gay distorted vocals and Michael Cretu's horrible voice. Also, the lyrics are so simple and boyband-ish. Most of the songs off Voyageur lack the depth of songs like TNT For The Brain, Push The Limits, I Love You... I'll Kill You, Mea Culpa, and Sadeness. Mr. Cretu said in some interviews that this album would be totally different from all of his previous work. He was right. I honestly think that he tried too hard to make this album different, and as a result failed. Change can be a good thing, but I don't know why Michael Cretu had to change his style to commercial crap. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I have listened to the album many times through, but still cannot get into the album at all. It's a shame, really. I was really looking forward to a new Enigma album and a decent artist album to buy since Chicane, BT, and Delerium all put out mediocre albums this year. If other people that read this are interested in Enigma, buy one of the first four albums and steer clear from this one. I highly recommend the greatest hits cd. If anyone disagrees with me, that's fine. Go over to Amazon.com and read some of the reviews if you want.

| mmm.. tnt for the brain, thats a mint track.. haven't heard enigma's new album, but it appears to generate a mixed bag of opinions, which i think is a good thing. |

That is a gorgeous track. I just bought this album last week.
I enjoy page of cups the most
Followed by Following the Sun (a great great tune)
And the Piano is my last of the top 3
But even if you think of the word Enigma it means a statement, the hidden meaning of which is to be discovered or guessed. Almost ever changing... keeping us guessing.
I love all the albums and will continue buying them |

i think the magic of enigma is still there..Voyageur is one of those albums which might not appear to be promising in the first listen (i found it a bit jarring..to be honest) but will gradually and steadily grow on u!;) And when i started the thread i said i had downloaded the album..and today i bought it,'guess that means something :D

that is the point of Voyageur,DON'T compare it to the earlier works..and as said by Cretu in one of his interviews,voyageuer marks the onset of a new phase for Enigma.While listening to Voyageur what an Enigma fan wud need most (more than his ears maybe ) is an open mind.Listen to it the way u listened to MCMXC.AD when it was released...don't expect ANYTHING !! You will see what i am talking about !

Umm... Whatever Cretu or his fans say about new phase or whatever, the grim reality is that the album is sub-average on any scale.. It sounded more like Delirium than Enigma to me, and "innovative sound of Enigma" (as fans refer to Cretu's works) is more of a deja vu... Sad, but after Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi, Cretu went downhill... Bah..
