Labels and copyright

I recently finished an original song and would like to start sending it to labels. I suppose that these questions were asked before, so don't be upset.
Where can I find the adresses of the labels and specifically trance labels?
Also, is it OK to realese the song, let's say in this forum or I should wait?
Is copyright needed before sending a song?
Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it. I'll try posting a sample after mastering is done.

It's a good idea to post in here if you want some feedback on the track. If you do post it and plan to send it off to labels, make sure the one you put on the net is 96 kbs or 128 at the most (no one's gonna want to play or swipe a song that is low quality).
As far as labels are concerned...I think there might be way too many to list - although I'm sure there's a list on the net somewhere :)
Maybe tell us what kind of trance you're producing and then people can probably help you better. Also, if you DJ, check on the record sleeves of some trance labels you have. Sometimes they write their address on them. If you know what labels you want to send to, just look up their website and they'll tell you where you can send demos. And regarding copyright..it's a tricky thing but once you have a hard copy of a track you have the copyright (provided it's original of course). A trick a lot of people use is to seal it in an envelope and mail it to yourself so you have proff of the date and what not. I think this is a bit extreme though :)
Good luck!
Oh, and by the way..I notice you're from London, gimme a PM..I used to live there. (I moved to Ottawa though :) )
