thanx for the link Trancefourever, only thing is, the site is down @ the moment! Anyways...
You can use Cool Edit Pro 1.2 , but it won't record directly to mp3 format, it records to wav amongst many others. Another one is the Windows Media Encoder 7, which can record to super-quality 160kbps wma format which i think is great. Both of these can record from any input. If you hate the wma format (as many others do), then convert it to mp3 using e.g. MusicMatch Jukebox 6 or Nero Burning Rom 5. All of these should be available in shareware formats on CNET Download, http://www.download.com
I got the full versions of somo of these, but I only got 64K ISDN, so... sorry! |

There is actually a plug-in for Cool Edit Pro which will let you save tracks in mp3 format. It uses the Fraunhofer encoding method too.
I have it on my computer. Let me know if anyone wants it:
email: [email protected]
I'll have a look around for a url for it, if it's on the web somewhere, I'm not sure where I got it. :) |

you can record almost everything with it.
I use it mainly for realplayer live radio stations |
