Electro?

Personally, I'm loving it. I give it another year, max. But I love this . I love the electro influence on prog (in moderation) these days.

You feeling it? Or non?

think: goldfrapp, peaches, chicks on speed, avenue d, ladytron, fisherspooner, tiga.

(as decribed by friend)
A hard synth beat, that makes it kind a dirty. With generally dirty lyrics.. about fashion, sex, drugs and generally really empty things.

I hoped that helped. To be honest, the term is very vague, and I describe electro as something very 80's inspired, and "synthy". New Order almost, Talk Talk, bands like that.

i am feeling it for sure. but mostly b/c my entrance into electronic was electro and ambiance. it's kindof cool that electroclash is in right now, b/c mainstream popularity of dance/electronic/rave has dwindled quite a bit.

Once in a while I still listen to Afrika Bambaataa tracks. :p Westbam and a lot of the stuff they play at the Love Parades is what I'd call electro, too. And Umek had some cool electro tracks on Neuro (though many of the tracks weren't too impressive).

Big thumbs up from me though.

I was never off the bandwagon or on the bandwagon. I've enjoyed electro for yrs and probably will continue to love it for yrs to come. I like it in moderation tho because too much bores me but I'm more into the off shoot of electro called GHETTO TECH which has people like dj assault and dj godfather. Dirty as heck :), find dj assault stuff and you will see what I mean :)
