pm me your own preferred username and password, if you're relatively new and/or sure that i have never seen you here before, please let me hear some of your tracks first. (e.g. mp3.com links of just small clips. you can email those clips to [email protected]
just to see what you can offer to the ftp.
space is limited and so are my ftp accounts. i think ive got 45 accounts left. should be sufficient for the moment. free space at the moment is 100mb. there is unlimited data traffic.
like the old ftp this ftp site is in no way related to tranceaddict.com
erm..the rules:D
PRODUCTION FTP RULES.
1) Upload files in a folder with your USERNAME. For instance if your username is [email protected] you create a folder named 'pietjepuk' and put all your stuff in here.
2) Only upload samples in mp3format with a MINIMUM bitrate of 256kbit. MAXIMUM filesize is approximately 1 mb/file. Larger files you can place in the 'over 1 mb' folder. So we can rotate the larger files from time to time. This is to save space.
3) Do NOT upload COPYRIGHTED or COMMERCIAL material. Doing so will result in an immediate loss of account.
4) Don't share your login with others. Everything is being logged and I will know if there are 5 other people using your account.
5) Don't just leech. People who only leech and never upload something will lose their account.
6) If you think someone is not contributing at all, let me know and i'll see what I do about it.
7) You can upload MIDI files the MIDI folder, as long as they are self-sequenced and not taken from other sites. The filename of the midi file MUST contain your username. So I can see who made it (for possible copyright problems). Files without the username will be deleted. It's best to make MIDI files with just the bassline and melodies or something. Don;t copy the song as a whole.
8) If the server is full, then it's full. I will not tolerated anyone else but me to delete somebody else's stuff in order to upload more of your own. Just delete some of your own stuff or contact me.
9) If you don't follow the rules you will lose access. I have the right to delete any account without notice.
10) Ok, that's it, I don't know any new rule for the moment. I hope this works out well and we all have profit from it!

i also gave access to people who ive never seen here before (im not on here that much more either so could also be me:p), cos i dont wanna be a bitch. but i'll keep an eye on everyone uploading stuff. also see new bit in bold at the beginning of this post.
if anyone has a problem with someone on the list (not because of personal matters, but because of uploading/leeching stuff), just let me know and i'll see what i can do.

would be cool as a an additional rule only to have samples in at least 256kbit quality. Otherwise the ftp is more a toy for beginners than serious sound exchange

yeah thats fine with me.:) just make sure to put your username into the filename of the midi then. so i know who uploaded it. |
