except young girls that go missing in Toronto have a nasty tendancy of turning up dead. :(
This whole situation is rather strange... a few days ago, the mother was making a plea as if the child ran away from them. Thus giving rise to the idea that these parents may've not been great parents leading up to this event. |

thats true
but I dont think discussing a negative event before it happens is a great idea as well. Perhaps sharing comments about how people feel about this may be a bit better. I just didnt like how it was worded..."end up at the bottom of a ravine or lake"
It is a little insensitive, and as Halo mentioned, this is a public board, and someone may know her. So this thread may hit them way harder than any of us can imagine |

You guys are spending more time hashing it out with each other than you are discussing this horrendous crime...
To the family of Cecilia - My thoughts and prayers go out to you and i hope and pray that she is returned to you safe from harm as soon as possible. |

to me, you guys are twisting my words a little bit by only quoting half of the idea.
but whatever, im not PC, and I wasnt trying to foot around or be eloquent. Just asking the question of do you think shes alive and held captive somewhere? or dead (and presumably dumped somewhere)
If the family hasnt thought of the potential that their little girl may not be found alive, then it would be my suggestion to 'wake up' Yes, there are the occasional good cases like the Smart girl, but I dont recall that many kidnappings with good endings. Its sad, but likely.
I hope for the best, but expect the worst. I hope that when shes found (alive or dead) that she was not 'touched' in the sense that I dont even want to think about for a 9 year old, and that the person(s) who did this are found and punished accordingly. |

i'm sure that possibility has crossed their minds .. but in times like this you obviously try not too ..

When they found that girl chopped up on the side of the lake, nobody deleted that thread.
Threads about Bernardo surface all the time.(well every now and then)
Cecilias abduction is a current social event, and yes its horrible. My thought may be negative, but theres a good chance its the right one.
I would hope she is found alive and well, and unharmed. then next found with the ransom, then next found harmed, and then found dead. Lastly I hope she at least is found. Not knowing would be the worst option possible for the family.
this is open discussion, we could talk about if its coincidental that rammadan starts and there are 4(I think, maybe more) attacks on 'western' insitutes in baghdad, but that doesnt touch as close to home as the abduction of a little innocent girl.
No need to delete or close. just talking here. |
This is a little bit nicer however I'm puzzled why you seek other people's approval of your negative opinion. I guess you're just seeing how many other pessimists there are on TOTA.
I was just hoping that this thread would be deleted since I don't understand how discussing the details of what might have happened helps anyone. To show some respect it would be thoughtful to hold off speculation of what (if anything) happened to her for a later date. However, it seems that there are some people who want to talk about this for whatever reason, so I'll stay out. cheers |

I noticed, but decided to leave your spelling error out.
I hope no 9 year old is ever found in a raving:D
But this is your community, im only a 3 year long visitor. If you dont want to talk about this. Ill just let it drop as well. What I had hoped for was that it would take off in the direction of why on earth anybody would abduct a 9 year old, and oddities in human psyche...that didnt happen. whoops.
And Im not seekig validation of my pessimistic views. I would hardly consider myself a pessimist. |

i heard the mother living in the home was not her biological mother. i also heard that they are looking for the real mother in connection to this. i hope this is the case because then her safety is not in jeoprady.
Also the question I am wondering is how none of the 8 adults lving in the house heard anything. just seems a little odd to me. |

this is where i came up with my randsom theory .. the part about her mother was proven untrue tho. She was able to certify to the police that she was in fact her biological mother.
btw. 8 adults .. ? wtf, where they living in a rooming house or something .. ??

Father is apparently a computer programmer for SunLife with a medium-high income. Mother is apparently a daycare ESL worker, middle income.
