What a F*($#@# delema, I can afford one or the other at the moment.
I think the bicycle is the way to go.
Just about to pay my car registration $522.20.
What a F#()@#% rip-off... bloody rediculous if you ask me. My car is costing me way too much, that's why I want/need a bike.
My new 1200MK2 for $750 will have to wait.

| i dont understand  do they make mountain bikes they play records now? :conf: |

No, no record player on this mountain bike.
$800 for registration, that's insane. I know u can get a discount if you have a "health care card" but besides that there's no way around it.
Think I might just sell my car and buy a motorcycle if I really need to get around. |

I feel your pain, mine will be of a similar amount and is also due in the next week. It sucks being a student + casual worker and trying to pay for a car amongst heaps of other :( |

| $800 must be for young driver. I registered a car yesterday, RTA charges were $240, $350 CTP. Then the bastards charged over $1000 to transfer the registration. Stamp duty on cars and houses is a very lazy tax. Public service doesn't do anything to justify the charge, it's just one of the ways to prevent putting up obvious tax levels. and $1700 for insurance hurt a bit too |

That's an expensive car
And I was whinging about $800 stamp duty on my car :(
But yeah, under 25 = $550 for CTP green slip, then another $220 at the RTA to actually renew the registration :(
And don't forget the $450 montly repayments or the $250 per month comprehensive insurance costs :(
Cars are expensive :nervous: |

| As if the government doesn't get enough revenue from speeding fines these days (dunno about other states but in Vic it was some extraordinary figure) |

Yeah i just paid my 500 on rego.. destitute i now am
Most of the cash goes to the TAC though, for like if some drunked truckie hits your car and you cant walk again, you get taken care of. which is a good thing i spose.
I'd go mountain bike over decks personally atm ;) |
