Maybe we should hold a mod competition to see who actually does the best job? LOL.
We could have categories and award points for most reliable, fastest to intervene, most diplomatic, most knowledgeable, most creative, etc.
It's definitely not brain surgery, but wouldn't a vote based on actual needed talents such as conciliation skills be deemed more of an acurate indicator of a good mod? |

i have yet to comment on this thread daniela lols but as for the mod situation...i wouldnt mind participating in it since i am very pro-TA. i like the community we have here as far as EDM is concerned. the only thing i think is lacking here is the SOCIALability. we talk about trance all day long on these boards...im sure like you and I we are humans as well. there are other things in our lives that we want to discuss like how bloomberg is doin as mayor or what resturante's people recommend to take a significant other out to eat. like that i think is positive and shows that we all have character other than TRANCE. its good to see we support each other its like some sort of running competition for who is MOD of NYTA Forums...personally you know how i am i could careless the only thing i care about is having a great environment to post my messages on. once in a while tensions flare up and people want to voice their opinions which is cool but thats all i really see...threads about trance or threads about someone (FLAMES or JOKES) its all good in its entirity but i'd like to see some more common day life things like discussion of movies or what people wanted to do..TA BBQ? TA great adventure things that people like to do..i mean dont get me wrong talking about trance is what this site is about but i believe that there is more to the people on these boards than just trance. you guys do what you like just making sure i get my point across. as for bein a MOD...i'd like it but its not something that will deter me from posting here. i'll be diplomatic and vote for Taub but damn matt in order for you to be MOD u'll have to wear CLEAN SHIRTS and post more damnit! dont let stonybrook eat you alive HAHAH |

I dont think we need a change in MOD. Ian has been doing a good job as a MOD for the past 2 years i have beeen here i barley see him post.
But as for me being a MOD think ill pass that up, since now i just browse the forums and i got no time and i dont just listen to trance anymore. Also its my last year in college and stony has a good female to male ratio so got to enjoy the few months i got left here.
As brian said the NY forums lack a sense of community. The only way to change that is to have get togethers outside of clubs. Get to know others from the forum on a personal level and thats not going to happen in a club where you cant hold down a conversation. Go out to dinner, bowling, ice skating or something
Sine many want to change the MOD, my vote goes for Brian since he wants to make TA more of a community and i hope he does it . ooohh and i got clean shirts...i have been learning to wash them since last nov, i use Gain..country freshness! |
