Ciao Philipp

it's a nice listen. not for headphones-on-the-bus-in-rainy-afternoon, but certainly sounds like it's got potential to be a rave tune.

well-eq'd too, i think.

Thanks a lot :-)
That keeps me motivated lol!

I think its a little too cheesy. I miss fx effects and its a little bold. After the last break put a harder snare on the kick, it would make your head bang harder :) . I think its like a belgium jump record!
hey cheggy
Yeah, its a little cheesy for my liking. The sound is okay, a little minimal maybe. A chunkier bassline would go a long way. Some of the track sounds really cool, like at 4:40, that section is very nice.

Some different perc samples (kick is fine) would maybe make it sound a bit better.

Keep it up mate.

Hey guys thanks a lot for your comments (which werent SO bad i think lol)
Have i mentioned its only my 3rd song ever, really!?!
Well anyways, percussions: I agree by changing the hats a lil more - add more TREBLE, make them a lil more "clear" - same with the clap.
The idea to add some snare to the bassdrum is actually a real good idea i think. I ll do that. But do you guys really think i should change the bassline? I didnt want to take a bassline sample, so i created one myself with Novation V-Station (VST Plugin) (i think???). I wanted it to have a "round" sound. But anyways for the new version i ll use another bassline then. FINE!!! lol
Some of you think it s to "cheesy"? Well thats what i kinda wanted it to sound like, cause usually my songs are more like: "BUMM BUMM BUMM BUMM ... BBAANNGG ..." lol
Well anyways, thanks for your comments and come back later - i ll redo it, and upload it again!
Uh by the way - remixes are welcome. If anyone wants to remix it, ask me!
Ciao Philipp
:disbelief :clown: :eyespop:

uh by the way i got a question: Does anyone of you have an idea how to make a "swooooosh" like sound? Kinda like a reverse cymbal but more like a thunder and way longer. Anyone know a good plugin? Using the "Noise" button should help, right?
G-Force
Watch movies and listen carefully... You will find a whoosh!
montalray
lol ok i ll watch movies and i ll look for wooshes. :toothless
Yeah well sorry but the new version of my song might still take a little while cause i got a little problem: When i open my cubase and try to open the song it says something like "UNKNOWN EXCEPTION IN CUBASESX.LOG" ... and i dont knonw what the hell this is supposed to mean! :thepirate
-blake-
I like this tune, nice job with it, man. Percussion is slightly weak, but it has a nice bouncy/hardtrance feel to it which is cool.

I'd actually like to give a remix a try. I don't have lots of time to make tunes these days but it'd be fun to make a remix of this tune for sure!

Look me up on msn: [email protected]

or send me an e-mail to that address with the midi file(s) attached and I'll get back to ya!

Cheers

I'll be very honest...

I don't really like this song. I mean it has many cheesey elements, which turn me off.

BUT, another thing I'll be honest about - I do like the experimentation with synths. That's a postive part! You seriously have some weird crazy synths, that I would like to use. (Like the SFX weird synths)

But at the breakdown, it lacks a lot of energy. I don't know if you were intending to add energy, or what...but, if your weren't, I guess you got what you wanted.

Practice makes perfect. Your EQIng is good, and so is your synth work so far. I wasn't too crazy about the melody, but hey, keep working man. Thanks for sharing with us! -Mental

Hey guys thanks a lot (again) for your comments on my song.
WEll the problem with the remix is that right now i cant open the song in cubase, it says something like: "Unknown Exception in Cubasesx.Log" ... and i dont have any idea how to fix that. But hey, i ll try anything to get in the song again. (so i can send you the files)
The main synthesizer is the NOVATION - V-STATION. (Hard Lead 1 or 2 with a LOT of knob tweaking including FM Synthesis, APPREGIATOR, and so on and on ...)
@ TranzMental:
Thanks for your comments seriously!
You re cool cause u dont just say: "This song sucks - off"
You are giving me advices and that what i really appreciate about your comment! Thanks

Thanks a lot MontalRay. I mean, this place to me is a community, where we help each other out.

I'm not gonna blow you off, or cuss you out, or anything. If I don't like the song, I won't just post "I don't like this". I have to give you a reason why, to justify the comment.

By the way, your positives so far are the synth work, and I should've known it was V-Station. I just got that synth a few days ago, and I'm gonna use it soon :D

I'll just give you a quick preview of what I'm into. I'm mainly into Experimental Electronica these days, with artists like Aphex Twin, Square Pusher, Matmoss (CRAZY STUFF! ), and the likes. But, I used to be a fan of 'Ferry' Trance back in 99, and Hard Trance in 2001 with artists like Flutlicht, Shokk, and Cosmic Gate. Sasha is my main inspiration, and M.I.K.E aka Push, and Plastic Boy.

Just letting you know my musical influences man, to be more fair for your review. You don't have to head to a 'certain' musical direction that you don't WANT to head to. You have the FREEDOM to head wherever you want man! Keep up the work, and DO NOT QUIT! Keep going man, cuz there's always a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how dark! :) Later! -Mental
