Question about Audiophile and Fruity Studio

Hi,
I recently bought an Audiophile and I'm very satisfied with the results. Low latencies and 24bit/96kHz!
But I have a question. In Fruity Studio there's an option to turn the sample rate of the mixer up to 96000 Hz. But when I do this, Fruity says that it is not recommended and that you can better use 44100 Hz. Why is this so? Shouldn't I be using the 96000 Hz for lower latencies and better sound quality? Or is the difference in quality neglicible?

i don't know that much about it but i would guess that is only because most people don't have a sound card of 96khz so it isn't recommended as a whole...i'm sure you can probably use it. just like if you install a piece of software...you can do a custom install but its not recommended because most people are stupid like me. anyway, wait for other opinions before you follow my advice hehehe... |

| Well, it works for me as long as I use hardware buffer. |
