Personally.... I wasn't crazy about Sven's set.
I was happy to see that he at least seemed much more 'sober' this time.. and his mixing reflected that.. but the music itself I found was a bit weird. (I missed his last Aria set in April? but I am referring more to his dismal set with Richie in September 2002)
I think I was able to ID maybe 2 tracks. I had a great time though, and caught part of Preach's closing set, which made the trek to Montreal all the more worthwhile! |

Hahaha... yeah.. true dat.. Sven has been 'weird' for a looong time.
... but in particular, I thought the tunes on that evening were as well. Yes, much electro too! Just a bit surprised since I had heard a few fairly recent sets of his, and I expected something a bit different. There was a good crowd that night and people seemed pretty into it, so I know it's just a personal taste thing. |
