Good old network games
View this Thread in Original format
Shy Ted
Have recently had a wireless network set up at home and I'm looking for some older network games.
Pre Half Life sort of age.
Another thing, these games need to be downloadable for FREE. I have DSL, so size is no problem.

Any ideas? All suggestions welcome.

nothin beats going 1 on 1 against your friend in wacky wheels by apogee :D

g/l finding it now tho. and you do need DOS to run it + old sound card for sound. there's pre-half life for ya ;)

that's like pre-duke nukem II. haha.

Anything in the way of cooperative stuff would be good too.

Might put Baldur's Gate on em both.

YES! haha man I loved wacky wheels. also some other good old networking games are command & conquer (original and red alert), shogo, mech warrior 2, rollcage, sin, carmageddon 2, doom/quake series, raise of the traid, one must fall 2097, jedi knight, desent 3... I'm sure theres more but thats all I can come up with it at the moment. Theres also console/arcade emulation, some emulators support multiplayer over a LAN, and who knows how many more great games you could add to that list :D

edit: this may help
