sorry to start a new topic, have used the search but couldn't really find a recent topic.

i have reason 2.5 now for quite some time but i don't have a midi keyboard, what is kinda usefull

i don't want to spend to much money now, simply becouse i don't have much money atm :( anyway i hear good stuff about the oxygen 8 (http://www.midiman.net/products/midiman/oxygen8.php) i has some knobs and a slider on it, costs 130 euro (ex shiping)

that is okey but i also hear from some ppl that there are cheaper midi keyboards with more octaves, knobs and sliders. unf non of them can give me some names.

give me some advice please

thanks allready

If i was you, which i was like 8 months ago hehe, i would either buy a ty midi keyboard like £80 max, not sure what the idea of buying a £200 keyboard or so when you wont use anything more than the keys, besides you could spend more and get a synth for like £600 +.

Evolution do nice cheap Midi keyboards, i bought mine from a cash excvhange place which was a great £50 deal for the 5 octave keyboard and a midi cable, which are like £15 brand new, hope this helps, would defintally look in your local stores rather than buying online.

Yeah, I would like to recommend the Evolution 249 C (don't know the exact number, not at home right know). Wasn't that expensive either. about 150 euro. It has a usb 2 connection, which is really usefull.
I have it and it's a great keyboard.
The Oxygen 8 is great too I've heard, but I think it has too few octaves.
robin
i know which one you mean choochoo. but that one is over 200 euro and thats just to much.

there also are the radium 61 and 49. i've seen the 49 for 140 euro somewhere, the 61 is also like 200 euro's so thats not an option

the radium 49 has way more keys, knobs, sliders and is not much expenciver.

i'll look around on the web some more and if i find a nice deal on a 49 i think i'll buy that, any comments to that?

a sorry, i see you bought it for around 150, i haven't seen it for that price and it has no sliders and the radium (around same price has) those seem pretty need to me.. moving sliders with your mouse sucks :o

thanks anyway

These are the shiznits......

robin
got the radium 49 this morning :)

i love it allready.. only have to figure out how to assign the sliders to stuff in reason.. :conf:

i'll figure it out.. and if i don't.. i'll just come back here to bug you guys with my problems;)
hey cheggy
Make sure you have the keyboard selected in Reason. Then go Options > Enable MIDI remote mapping. Then right click on the dial/slider you want to control with it and hit "edit MIDI remote mapping". Click on "learn from midi input" and turn the dial on the controller that you want to use. It should read the controller number, e.g. 73. Click okay and you're done. You'll be amazed how much easier and more fun it is to turn a dial then use a mouse.
