hopefully he'll redeem himself at the roxy by playing a 6hr set. it's true that he plays much better in Europe, but New York is always the exception in America. so let's see....

very true, new york always has been the exception, because the set is 6 hours +. remember, this is where pvd spins whatever he wants...not just his main tunes from the last 3 months, but his main tunes at any given time in the last 5 years.... and additionally, this is where he has spun many of his private tracks, such as alanis morisette- the couch, the spell, born slippy and more. cant think of the others at the moment. but he also spins some real bangers in new york. JP, i understand this will be your first new york experience, but there have definitely been nights in NYC where pvd has spun 2-3 hours of his set being hard trance and banging techno.

of course, vandit night is where i want to be most.

hence the reason im 10,000,000 times more excited about roxy than pvd @ axis in boston. because he has really been disappointing us with his reproduced sets in the last couple months....im so afraid he might spin the exact same set here in boston that he spun at avalon at the end of august!!!! *fingers crossed*

Yes, but that was without him having to promote an album, with lots of press people attending the gig etc etc.

I guess he just can't affort to do extraordinary stuff.

Anyhow, I'm there for Sunshine, PvD is just an extra :)

From the 17 times I saw him so far this year, only 1 time I was disappointed: Mysteryland

So basicly what I'm saying is: when spinning and promotion are not crossing eachother, PvD is at his best!

i have to admit that i spent most of the last year just following the "superstars"... it's only lately that I have bceome slightly jaded. from what i see, the scene in new york has gone underground and you have to do a little more digging to find your niche.

i can't hate on 6 hrs of pvd for $35. now that i don't drink (or accidentally clock people :toothless ), a night out for < $50 is doable.

i no longer recall the point of this post or the thread...i am just bored. :thepirate

Vandit Night will be 7 hours for around $15.

Actually, it's $0,00 :D

But then again, Innercity is $55 for 2 hours of Paul ;)

but innercity is so much more than Paul, and that's why it is expensive, right? or no?
