| I mean to get a lot of things done. Especially this weekend when I knew I had a zillion ing things to do, and ended up only doing two of the things. Half ass at that. I'll start one thing and think of something or see something to keep me from completing that task. Then when I know the thing has to be done. It'll be done great on the very last minute. I dunno, things are more exciting when you're doing them last minute, and it doesn't give you a chance to second guess yourself. |

| yeah, not giving yourself a chance to second guess is key. i dunno, recently, the way i've been seeing things, is you've got to have your priorities. unfortunately for my grades, my priorities aren't with school right now  |

bascially... i have one quote so sum up how i feel about procrastination:
«Hydric» packing sucks
«Hydric» i 'could' have it done in a day...but i'm not that motivated
«Hydric» hehe
«zoidberg» you gotta take drastic measures
«zoidberg» pack your computer, then you'll have nothing to do but finish packing
although i'm pretty sure that if i put my pc away, i'd still not accomplish anything - i'd rather lie on the bed in boredom than do work. |

i suffer from procrastination and a lack of motivation. Here is the only quote of procrastination i am aware of:
procrastination is the lubrication for the slippery slope to hell.
i dont' know how much truth is behind that! |

Personally I always do my best work under pressure, so I consciously procrastinate almost everything. The way I see it, you've got two choices:
1. Take three times as long to do the same thing because you're not under pressure and it's easy to get distracted. Meanwhile the quality of your work suffers since it isn't getting your full attention.
or
2. Put it off until the last possible minute, then accomplish the task in the shortest possible amount of time. Since you can't afford to be distracted, you'll do a better job of focusing on the task at hand.
IMO, it's not really a choice at all. You can take longer to do a worse job, or you can take less time to do a better job. The only time procrastination backfires is when something comes up at the last minute and you don't have as much time as you thought. It's occasionally problematic for this reason, but IMHO the benefits far outweigh the risks.

| I tend to procrastinate alot, and do everything in the last minute. It's no real problem for me because I like to work with stress, it helps me and in the end, the results are better, don't know why, it works though... |
