(yeah i know theres an old kill bill thread)
Anyway, saw this the other night. Have to say I loved it.....
With the combination of tarantino's style, lucy, uma, the slight comedy of the blood, its foreign as well as 60/70's touch, and the beautiful sound track, it gets an A+. The sound track IMO played a major role.
I'm not much of a "see a movie and post a review about it" kinda guy, but I dont know what it is about this film, but I have to absolutely give tarantino credit. That guy can get away with anything, and I mean he can throw cartoons, goory excessive blood scenes with squirting, and spanish guitar in any scene and make it just right. i dunno, I could sit in a theater and see it again, and for me thats pretty rare. From the fight in the snow with Lucy Liu to the ending that leaves ya hanging......
Overall good movie. I haven't seen a good one in awhile, and this kinda reimburses my faith in hollywood. Unfortunately only tarantino and spielburg are the only ones that seem to do it. |

Yeah i agree, it was worth sneaking into. The usher came down looked at us and left, scared, i think i will enjoy it more when i don't have to worry about some usher kicking us out :P |

yeah amazing, I love how he is willing to play around with stuff like the black and white going to color when she blinks, and the use of the Anime (well damn the whole thing was anime inspired) but the mixing of Spanish dueling music when they are battling with samurai swords in an ornamental japanese garden...who does that? He does, and its perfect hehe. Fookin brilliant. |

Soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard... went so well with the movie
I especially loved "To Live and Die Without Honor" I believe it's called... the track playing when Lucy Liu first shows up and is walking with her posse  |

i saw this a couple weeks ago and i have to say it owns. i don't think i've ever seen that level of violence in a movie before but somehow tarantino's style just lets him get away with it and it all evens out. who says that extremely violent movies can't be intelligent. if you haven't seen Kill Bill go out and see it right now :p |

ARRRGGHHHH!!! QT used the Nancy Sinatra version of that song?? Why? The Terry Reid version is one of the coolest songs of ALL TIME! I will not argue about this. Download Terry Reid, "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" now . . . What are you waiting for? NOW!
Heh, heh. Terry Reid's version really is a great tune. Instant hipness. Chix ALWAYS dig it when you play it. |

just saw it...soundtrack was very awesome...it was probably the only thing that kept me interested in the movie...that and the faint references to other movies (i.e. umas yellow motorcycle suit as to Bruce Lee's Yellow garment in his very last film...etc)
But I think I went in with the wrong expectations...I didn't think it was going to be "ultra" cheese. I guess I wasn't thinking Terrentino though. Also, it felt like a 2 hour trailer...but it was just good enough I'd like to see the second half.
If my sources explanations wouldn't have raised the bar (and they omitted the "it's cheesy" part...I would have enjoyed it more.) |

great ing movie, i love quentin's style in here especially with the animation, but the violence was abit over the top but i guess thats what quentin was aiming for...and great music too except for that crappy band that was playing in the disco
much better than that garbage matrix revolutions |

The film was ok, not amazing. Blatantly the Battle Royal girl was the coolest though. Will she live the entire way through any movie? |
