How can I program this drum fill?

I want to create one of those fills where a drum-roll starts with lots of hits really close together, and the hits smoothly and evenly space out in time until you've got like one beat per bar. OK, so I could have a stab at programming this manually, but I'm feeling lazy and wondered if anyone can advise me on a quicker way to do it in Cubase SX?
Thanks :) |

I would start a separate file, make your drum roll, and then automate the tempo so it slowed down (spacing out the sounds evenly and smoothly as you said). And then I would export that to wav and bring it into my track. Go from maybe 140 to 35 bpm and fill in the roll with 1/16th notes. By the time it gets down to 35 the 1/16th notes will become quarters. |

I'm personally not a fan of Cuabse SX for programming drum patterns. I think its heaps easier to use redrum if you have it and export the loops as audio.
I don't suppose you have an example you could host do you. I'm not quite sure what you mean.
As for changig the tempo, it might work, but everything would start to fall out of time, unless you went from 140 to 70 to 35. |

Yeah you mean you haven't been able to do this in piano roll? |
