Basically i've just formatted both my hard drives: fresh start so to speak, and i'm lookins to clean out the registry.

Only problem is, i have no clue how to do it :p. Are there any programs that, well, make the task simple for a reg n00b :conf: :p

Well simply.. if you just formatted both your hardrives there should be no OS on them.. So just reinstall Windows and you should have a fresh registry.. or am i missing something

I had thought that formatting would clear my registyr, but i went into it via regedit, and found reg entries from programs long since wiped by the format :conf:

Hence the confusion :p

are you sure you didn't just try to delete everything on your hard drive manually? cause formatting is different... also, if you want to do it again you can always remove all the partitions and repartition your drive before formatting it, that's guaranteed to work.

Of course i'm sure I formatted it :D

It is partitioned, so I might just re format (when it gets back from the repair joint :p) and remove them. Weird.

Well if your still looking for something to delete registry entries just get a program called regcleaner and that should do it.

to safely format your hard drives and completely erase everything from memory (including the registry and all OS files and dirs), there's a program called gdisk (look it up in google .. forgot the site) and the program basically takes out the OS from the memory and then after that, you can do a simple fdisk and format to set up your HD with your specific specifications you want (100% occupy, 75%/25%, whatever ...)
