Know any clubs in Tampa??

Im going to be living in tampa in a few days, and i was wondering if anyone lives in tampa?? are there good clubs there?? tell me some info on them, or they website. ive been to america many times, but now i will be living there.

Tampa has that Ybor area which I found rather nice. It has a few good clubs but I was wayyy tooo out of it to remember their names. I know the VIP @ PRANA had some bangin' tunes going on so you might want to check that out. But besides that there's nothing else I remember....

First of all, welcome to America, Heinz. Unless you are planning a trip to Iraq, i dont think you will have to worry about getting suicide bombed. Anyways, there are a few decent clubs in Tampa. You might want to check out the Amphitheater(www.amphitheaterybor.com) in Ybor City. Its a multi leveled club with one main room of sound. They usually cater to breakbeat music, but will sometimes bring in a guest who plays house, progressive, or trance. Besides there, you can check out the new Hard Rock Cafe that just opened on the Semnole Indian Reservation. They have a club inside the Casino. I went there last week and George Acosta was djing. Besides that, there is a club called Prana that is also in Ybor. I have heard good things about the place but they never bring the djs I like, so ive had no reason to visit them.
Orlando is only a 1-1.5 hour drive from Tampa. This Sunday, Ferry Corsten will be at the House of Blues in Downtown Disney. Also, Miami is about 4 hours away and definitely the place where you will find the most clubs. |

| Ampitheatre is going to be your best bet, Prana, Twilight are good. All the clubs in tampa are in Ybor so u can go down there and stroll around and find pretty much whatever kind of music you are looking for.... well except for Trance ya gotta goto S. fla for that! |

Prana is decent, pretty much only place to go in ybor
Hyde Park Cafe on tuesday nites plays some breaks and funky house
and Bahasa Lounge plays some decent house on fridays
those are my favorites

| Oh yeah...Hyde Park Cafe is good... I went there on a Tuesday night and it was definately the closest to the Miami sound that I found in Tampa. Good one Ryan! |

| Thanks! I will remember Ybor, and visit there. That is awesome about ferry, but i wont be there sadly, wont be in america then, but i want to visit world famous miami, the party hot spot of all eastern USA? |

| yikes...the last time i went to Ybor i was scared of getting mugged or shot. i wouldn't go there, it's ghetto. but that's just me. i found a club that i used to live near but it's in the clearwater area. it's a more upscale crowd and it's called the Collosseum. it's off of Ulmerton Road not too far from the 275 exit. that's all the info i can give u. and judging from your taste in music (the Doboy thread) you'll like the music selection they play (kinda cheesy to me, but still fun). |
