To answer a few questions some of you may have:
1) A few from the Toronto forum have called me a "masculinist". I doubt you'll find very many people more strongly opposed to feminism, or at least the modern "3rd-wave" feminism.
2) I'm certainly not averse to my friend saying "check out the ass on that girl!" I appreciate a nice ass more than most guys. In fact, I'm pretty quick to point these things out myself. ;) However, there is a difference between whispering "check out that ass!" to your friend, and posting a thread about "who has the best ass!" in a public forum in front of about 50-100 women. It's akin to SHOUTING "HEY, THAT GIRL TWO ROWS IN FRONT OF YOU HAS HUGE !" to the total stranger standing right next to you.
3) It IS the desperate, horny, immature guys that breed the sort of über-feminists we see, i.e. the ones that seem to think men are lower forms of life who will do anything for sex (or not even sex - just the possibility of sex!). Congratulations - you've given the bitches fuel for their fire!

PS - There is a huge range of different schools of feminist thought, amny of which disagree about basic things... personally i think the postmodernist/poststructuralist schools have some very interesting things to say. Lacan, in an extention of Freud's assertion, proposed that "woman does not exist", many modern academics cite this as the ultimate feminist statement. |
