This sux, Black Hole recordings contain some of the best trance out there, in tunes and Compilations, and albums, heaving this removed from the sites will hit hard on us, I saw this on the trancegate community site, and some sites may die cause of this disturbing announcement, last year they clamined of searching, but no one believed cause I believe TIESTO is owner of Black Hole ?!?! and he said that he has nothing against Mp3 sharing and so on , so is wierd, cause thanx to this sharing many people have been able to know artists, unkwnown DJ's, and tunes from such artists , they've been known all the way here to the USA, and maybe every corner of the world, plus, they are IMPORTS, so is very hard to get them, some places , you eithe pay 45 bucks or get it for free to first see if its worth to buying..

someone should really mail them and ask them what they are thinking...maybe give them a link to this thread or somethin.....how about it?

it is a shame, i can see where he is cumming from, but it is good to listen to a song before you buy it. But in my opinion it would not make a big difference if he let his mp3's get downloaded

Hm okay mabe I make me now no friends, but you have to see also the business site of this all! To produce a 12" it costs not less, the price for oil, where 12" are made from most going higher and higher, the price for a 12" for selling is not going much higher. Most of the money the record stores made not the producer or the label! To get a 0 line you have to sell 3000 copys of a 12"! Sure with a Tiesto 12" it will be no problem, but they are not only Tiesto 12"! I'm talking now not only about Black Hole, this is straight for every label! If you wanna make your 12" successfull in the dance charts you also have to send a least 1000 to 1500 promos to DJs to spin your 12" that also costst money! This all is not the big problem for a big label like Black Hole I think but it is and they are a lot of smaller labels and when they see that nearly double as much people have the tune but not the 12" (which reason doesn't matter in the first part for them) sure they get pissed off!

I think all the labels are not against mp3 itself, I think when they are ways that they get the money (then it can be more less, because they have no production costst!) they also would agree with that!

I think it doesn't matter if Britney Spears sales 10 million singles or 11 million singles but I think it does matter if Black Hole is selling 30.000 or 50.000 Magix 7 albums!

Sure most of you guys here said, you buy the 12" or CD if you like the track, but how many people download songs and don't buy the CDs, 12" and don't talk here in the board!

And sure, I also see the problem that guys in the US can't get the CD because they don't find them, but hey, it worked also befor mp3 was born!

So all I wanna say is that you also have to se the site of the business! The most label owners down drive ferrari!!!!

Looking at that letter from BHR and then at what
Tiesto said about mp3's and their availability on the net
I would have to say that this whole matter makes him look
like a hypocrite

On the one hand he says this:
Question: What do you think of the about audioformat MP3?
I really like it, because specially in The States and also here in
Sweden it's been good for my name because my CDs are hard to get here.

Question: What do you think when people download your songs illegaly?
Is it bad because you loose royalty money?
Well, I'm not in there for the money. I'm really glad, actually honored, that people download my music. That's a compliment I think.

On the other a letter is sent asking webmasters to remove ALL
BHR content ???

So which is it, Tjis? Make up your mind (and I think we all know
that you are not in it for the money :stongue: )

and yes, I agree with all of u that albums should not be
available for dload :D

Absolutley correct i was about to say the same...Tiesto first said i dont mind Mp3s now its a big deal....

but no matter what blackhole says there songs will still be all over the net.....Sorry Blackhole

I think i can ensure you that they would only sell 15.000 Magix albums if Tiesto and trance music wasnt spread so much over the internet.....Since trance music isnt really on the radio and on the TV and commercial. Mp3 is the way of advertising your song exept letting DJs spin the track at partys but thats it.......everybody doesnt go to big raves....
