a DJ spun "Sandstorm" at a party in Europe? Would he/she get booed off the stage? It's unbelievable how many DJ's here in the United States still think Sandstorm is a hip song. For example DJ Irene spun it at a party I went to few weeks ago and a lot of local Dallas DJ's still do too. The song is so played out I can't stand it anymore. It was pretty good back in 2000 but has since been spun at every club/rave in existence. Here all the mainstream pop radio stations that like to play Britney Spears and NSYNC have got a hold of it and have further burned the song. In fact a couple of weeks ago I was at a Colorado Rockies BASEBALL game and they played that song on the loudspeakers!
But I guess its not all bad since it may bring trance from the underground to the mainstream in the US. What do ya'll think of this and of DJ's spinning anthems in general? When is too much, too much? |

lol...soon you will be as sick as all the rest of us are with Sandstorm because it's getting hammered over there just as it did everywhere else.
I find it amusing how the US can be ahead in quite a few things, but in Trance it just isn't that big! Excluding our US Counterparts already on the forum of course ;) |

move to england mate, or come here on holiday, u can hear the latest stuff, then take it back, you could storm america, and be ahead of all the top dj's.
If it aint good enough, do it yourself
I feel sorry for the US, but unfortunatly, u did give us backstreet boys and others, so i aint that sorry
For some reason english people like that crap, thanx to the US.
Well i hope trance progressis fast, so we can have a worldwide trance culture, so better songs |
