Bukkake
The practice is said to have originated in Japan. Bukkake is a verbal noun in Japanese. The verb bukkakeru (to dash [water]) can be decomposed into two verbs: butsu (ぶつ) and kakeru (掛ける). Similarly, the sexual meaning of the word bukkake presumably refers to the act of dashing semen on a woman's face.
It is possible that bukkake was an ancient Japanese feudal punishment. There is a misconception that bukkake is a recent invention of the fetish pornography industry. In fact, much of the bukkake pornography consists of amateur home movies made by people who enjoy the sex act on or off camera. Many women have gone public regarding their sexual enjoyment of bukkake. Prominent examples include Dr. Susan Block and Catherine Millet.
