this guy has easy already soldered drop in board led replacement kits for the 1200. they have them in blue, pink and ultraviolet. there's no soldering (execpt for the pitch lock led if you want to replace that but it comes with that led) and it's only $15 for *2* decks plus shipping. |

you mess with the inside of your turntable and you are throwing your warranty out the door. looks cool though.

Unless you're a honeybee, an ultraviolet LED would be useless, seeing as how humans can't see ultraviolet... :stongue: On the other hand, if it's actually a purple LED, it probably looks pretty cool. :) |

since i've been djing i've never met a single person that had to have their 1200s serviced. the warranty on a 1200 is pretty much useless as i've never seen one break. other then the popup light. that does of course not include 1200s that were royally abused or dropped, in either case the damage from that would not be covered anyway. |

well then be careful when installing them.

i have an electrical engineering certification so i would have any problem actually de-soldering and install new leds on the stock boards. the cool thing about this product is that it already comes soldered onto the boards so you just unscrew and unplug the stock board and plug the new ones in. easy peasy. 15 minutes start to finish each deck no problem. not only that for the price of these boards since it's 2 pair for 2 decks for only $25 shipped you're getting them for the same price as the leds sell for themselves. a retarded monkey could install these! cheers. |

I like dem blue lights... Ill probably get the kits when I am in the mood to take off the 1,000,000 screws on the bottom of the TT.
I have a 3rd TT thats an 1200:mk2, and I just swapped out the old pitch control with a m3d pitch control. The TT is all good now. I should've left it open so I can plug in these LEDS kits...(since its hella easy wit that kit).
Everytime i look at my TT's , i just wanna use em...
Thanks for the lik VIO, Ill prob pick up 3 sets.... |

| Thanks VIO, I will definitly have to take a look at those. I love working on the internals of turntables. Technics designed them so well, it's like looking at a work of art. |

yeah, it's certailny usefull. You can see the lightsource of a blacklight, can't you... :p
And yeah, it looks cool. I've seen tutorials on how to install the LED's itself, but you need soldering, and I'm quite afraid of doing that. |
