Yeah, just insalled OS 6.5. Huh, I was still running OS.5.0 Nothing really speciall untill 6.5 though.
Yeah, there is a new filter in 6.5. The "analog" Low-Pass filter with an option of 1, 2, 3 or 4 poles. Well, its nothing overly special from what I can tell so far, though I'm yet to delve into it properly. The analog filter sounds like a low pass with some filter modulation and saturation. I can see some dirty drity sounds coming from it. |

| I think so. I had to do my update in protools. I also tried midi-ox with no luck but I think that was the end users fault :) |

Yeah, no worries mate. First of all, let me know what equipment you are using.
a) type of virus
b) version of Sounddiver
c) type of midi interface setup
d) type of midi controller
d2) type of connections on midi controller (midi and/or USB) |

Okay, its not that hard.
Have you got the following connection.
Virus KC midi out --> Midisport midi in
MidiSport midi out --> Virus KC midi in
You need to have an open connection between the two.
Your midi controller needs to be connected to another port.
You need to have your virus on before you start up sounddiver.
Your virus needs to be sending and recieving SysEx data. |

i have the midi connection set up as you say, i think the prob must lie within the SysEx bit.

hey,
Sounddiver is a bit of a pain in the ass to get to work at first.
But it works better with the B than the C
The way you have to do it is this.
On most Midi Modules, the autodetect on Sounddiver does not work.
I have tried it with a motu midi express and a Midex with no luck.
Most importantly, once you turn the autodetect off you need to specify which midi port the virus is on.
Once you do this.. Try and acquire a patch. Once you successfully do that, double click on the patch.
The graphical representation of the virus will come up.
A big thing is to go to ACCESS website and get the newest sounddiver Virus. It makes a HUGE difference.
Its best to stick with the sounddiver virus and not the whole sounddiver program. The virus should have came with the CD. Then get the upgrade.
Its worth it though because once you get it working, the virus makes some wicked sounds.
