Leopard Lounge Review

Ok so I went to Leopard Lounge last night to catch Victor Dinaire spin his magic. I was fortunate enough to run into Binkun and st0w before I got inside the venue. However it was UNFORTUNATE that we had to wait online for a half hour. I was NOT expecting that.
The place was packed! Saw a lot of the usual loft crew and mingled a bit while listening to some really decent tunes, including old school Utah Saints - Lost Vagueness, I believe? Anyway, it was class and I was happy to see some familiar faces like Lunasea, Wheel of Steel, Dinaire Force 1 (naturally), Wallflower, etc.
Vic hit the decks around 3 am and it was like COMING HOME. I hadn't seen/heard Vic since the post-pvd party in August and his music just took me away. I downed my drink in ten seconds (ok so i had an appletini or two - totally harmless! :p) and hit the dancefloor. I was grooving to Starchaser - Fallen Star and it was the sweetest sound... dancing felt to good and there's nobody who brings out the energy in me like Victor Dinaire! I wanted to dance all night.
But, alas, Leopard Lounge crew was NOT cool and they shut the party down at like ten to four. They really weren't cool and I was crushed because Marco V was on and I was really getting warmed up! So...yeah...they killed my high. But
VICTOR DINAIRE OWNED ME AGAIN! LIKE ALWAYS!

strictly class from the man himself. the place was packed and the newbies were in awe. gotta love it! :p |

nah...it was a quick set, a friend's birthday and i don't like to be a pain in the ass (yeah right! :p ;) ) |

Utah Saints - Lost Vagueness (Oliver Lieb Main Mix), you are correct madame. And yep, that was C:/del*mp3 he was playing when they cut everything.
What pissed me off, what a shocker, was how much of an unnecessarily rude attitude the bouncers had towards the EDM crowd. We were all being respectful and nobody was causing any problems, yet they shut down our room first and then wouldn't let us walk out the door at the bottom of the stairs. There was NO purpose for making us walk through the downstairs area at all. And in general the attitude and way they talked to people just wasn't respectful. But that's ok, because I'm pretty sure everybody who went had a damned good time. |

it was fun for a brief while but overall that place is a disaster.
the drink prices,
the attitude
the bouncers
everything
the door people
u name it
they all were unprofessional and angry at the world.
i was treated like and to top it off, i was playing for FREE! you would think they would at least be nice and mayyyyyyybe throw a beer or 2 my way and treat me and my guests like people. all i got was attitude and threats.
....i am not even gona comment about the downstairs party. |

thanks man, its totaly ok
from now on, everyone i know is getting my full review of my experience there. i hate places that dont give a about the people who come in and spend money at their place and wind up getting threats. |

damn that does suck just remember what comes around goes around... that being said they ll learn the error of their ways but by then it ll be too late
an you should let ppl know what ur overall review of the place vic that way werd gets around an ppl won t have to endure with the treatment that was received last nite again (more or less boycotting)
just my 2¢ |

i chose not to say anything about that because when i posted my review, originally, i still felt dirty. walking through the hip-hop party downstairs was like walking through the sewers of hell. ugh. |

| wow....that sucks, sorry to hear that gang! i still don't understand when club staff treat the guest like , i mean, we are the one's that are paying bucks to get in. get jacked on liquor prices and still get this treatment. it makes the night like hell....:rolleyes: |
