What do you mean you feel like you're cheating. We all use compressor/limitors. That's what things like wavehammers/maximisers are. They limit the ceiling and then boost the f*ck out of everything.
Nothing to be ashamed of mate. Using a compressor on the master channel is a good way to keep everything nice and tidy and loud. |
