Do you guys know of a simple program that you can use to quickly find the exact MP3 file you want to play? I know the DJing program ATOMIXMP3 has an excellent search function...
it first scans all your directories (takes 10 seconds) on your comp and then say you're looking for a james holden track, all you need to do is type in "holden" or "james" and all the MP3 files with either keyword or key letters even will show up. I really need a small program that does this, maybe even a winamp plugin? I've searched everywhere for one, this is especially useful if you have a large MP3 collection, it gets hard as hell to find in which folder you have that obscure underground electronica track from 1998. Thanks for any tips! |

| maybe you should organize your folders then. I used to have Atomix and I don't think it was that big if I remember correctly. |

What do you consider a large MP3 collection? I've got nearly a 60 GB collection and have all my MP3s in one main folder seperated into smaller ones.
When I need something I just use the Windows search function on just that folder...finds whatever I'm looking for fast. Just use that. (assuming you're running a Windows OS). |

Its better if u sort it.
Many ways to sort it... Date Released (Month) or Producer, there are millions of ways (not literally) to organise music. |

Oh damn, I didn't know that, thanks man! Just what I was looking for, do you know how to delete things in the library though? Thanks again! |

| I never had a problem finding a track in my own fine music collection ... and it's not because it's small ... its organized! I just used HTML/PHP/ Microsoft Word files to organize my media, and this process should be completed in a year or so (enough media to organize) |
