Should drug use be legal? Which drugs?

Alcohol is legal almost everywhere on the planet. Marijuana is almost always illegal. Ecstasy is being used by more and more people all the time. Where do you stand? Should using drugs be left up to individual choice or is it society's duty to try and protect us from our own excesses? Where do you stand?
(For argument's sake, let's limit this discussion to personal drug consumption, and ignore buying/selling!! I'm sorry I can't list every drug in this poll, but of course that would take too long.) |

you know, I really didint want to say anything, but I really am going to have to.
I live in BC, Canada.. the pot capital of the world (dont even try to deny it, mother ******.)
Well, it's illegal here, which I believe it shouldent be. Our province is in the biggest debt in the country, and it's because it's not managed properly. If marijuana is legal, then the government would grow it - tax it, and would probably be out of debt in little over a year. Every 3rd or 4th house is a grow op in my cities (studies have been done) - and cops really dont give a anymore about busting you, unless your big time.
Everyone does it, or has done it. It's like smoking a cigerette. It's less potant and does less damage than alcohol does, and does not impair your driving as much as alcohol either, nor does it make you an addict, doesent cost as much - and does not make you a bad person.
So there's my points.
Legalize marijuana.

| I think Pot should be legal, and Cigarettes illegal. Pot isn't really a dangerous drug or anything. Cigarettes kill millions of people almost daily. |

Cigerettes are just a tax by the government, and population control. They would never make cigerettes illegal, they would use billions of dollars yearly.
But cigerettes should be illegal. It's as addictive as heroin or cocaine, and those are illegal. Too much nicotine can kill you, smoking for long periods of time can kill you.
Smoking weed will never kill you, no matter how much you smoke. It's ing stupid if you ask me :\ |
