What gym do you belong to?
Where is it?
What do you like/dislike about it?
I used to go to Gold's gym and , aside from it being on Long Island, I really liked it. Now I go to a private gym called Duomo. More upscale but no more cool music. They played PVD at Gold's..
what about you guys??:p :toothless |

NY Sports Club. They're everywhere, like a virus. Like? Good quality equipment, facilities, individual CD players and TVs at every cardio stations. Dislike, the place is useless at 6pm. :p But that's prolly pretty much everywhere.
Best gym around, though, is Roxy. Although the good workouts are only once every couple months. They have this new program, Body by PvD. Really works you to the bone. |

| I used to work at Bally's for 3 months, unbelieveably as a personal trainer. All I have to say is it is such a fake job - you need absolutely no experience, nor do you need to be licenced. Funny how fake certain jobs are when all that matters is money, no matter who you have to hire and what you have to do to make it (which means hiring inexperienced people who dont know proper exercises which could hinder instead of help the clients). Although I wasnt licensed I did know routines which I used to do for myself (I knew enough cardio, muscle toning and building workouts to get by) - also I hung out alot with one of the trainers there thats been working there for 11yrs. so he taught me some workouts and health things. |

bleh, i don't go to the gym because i really hate going to exercise. love sports and i'm not a couch potato, but i just can't make my exercise. once a semester the urge strikes me and i'll go to the campus gym, but that's about it.
i've heard american family fitness in richmond is really good though, or so my workout obsessed friends say. it's open 24-7. |

i go to gold's gym in Totowa, nj- for 50$ a month it's AMAZING.. very clean, great staff, Great Music most of the time, and it's never packed :D
i went to World Gym in Paramus NJ for a while and all the equipment had the cd and dvd players on it with screens, and a spa and all this i never used lol...but the people were really snotty there and the membership fee and monthly bill was waaayyy too much.. f that.. |

| I thought the 24-Hour Fitness (in Union Square) would work for my schedule (also cheaper than the NY Sports Club that I used to belong to), but in the last few months, even for there, I haven't had many chances to go. |

i have only been to a gym once and that was lucille roberts with my sister as a guest. we were doing a step class (it was a long time ago, about 10 years ago maybe) and i tripped over the step thingy. :haha:
i saw that as a sign never to go to a gym again...
besides i do enough walking around here with no car and the mass amount of hills and steps just to get to my room. |
