I recently heard a song called "Lullaby - Lullaby," which apparently is a famous trance anthem.
When I listened to the main melody of this song, I was struck by the fact that the first 1/4 of each melody "block" (pardon my terminology, perhaps I mean the first 8 measures, or something) was amazingly similar to ANOTHER, equally famous, song, which I've heard numerous times at clubs, but whose name I don't know :( If you've heard "Lullaby," and listen to just the first quarter of the 4/4 melody, does it remind of you something? If so, can you tell me what that other song is, with very similar synths and the same melody there? Thanks! |

| OK, I managed to create a sample of what I'm looking for, using FruityLoops... it's attached! Thanks! (I hope it's not ATB...) :) |

That's the melody to Alice Deejay - Better off Alone, which is just as bad if not worse than ATB.
Argh, listening to that clip made me cringe from remembering my brother saying "THIS IS SOME KICKIN' TRANCE" when that song came on the radio. I wanted to hit him and scream "THATS NOT TRANCE YOU HEAD, LISTEN TO FERRY CORSTEN AND THEN TALK". But alas he is 100x times stonger than me and will crush me with his biceps.

THANK YOU!
I knew this was some cheesy played over and over, but catchy nonetheless. I was at this club once, and this tune really got the crowd going.
Well, I'm embarassed to have brought up Alice Deejay on this forum.
Time to close this thread, I guess. |
