ditto... amazing show, 10x better than his show at eleven50, WELL worth the drive up and the all-nighter. real kicker in the ass that I got a flat tire on the ride home, but thank god for atlanta traffic, and i was only going about 30 at the time.

pics and more details later.

btw, AWESOME meeting Hagen and Phil, you guys are really awesome, can't wait to party some more!

Alright, so me and Emil left Gwinnet at about 8, and made it into the club by 11:30. Edgar V was spinning a pretty good set, the crowd was going wild (keep in mind though, this seemed to be more of a raver crowd than the type of clubber crowd you see in Atlanta). When PvD came on though, it was absolutely amazing. He only spun for a little over 2 hours, but my god they were great. I'd say roughly 50% of the tracks were ones I couldn't ID, he was dropping new tracks left and right, and it got HARD, which I loved, made the crowd go wild. Of course, when he played songs like Crush, TOOL, nothing but you, the crowd loved it, but he kept us on our toes the whole night. His last song before the finale of TOOL was Energize, and man, we went wild when he dropped this. All in all a great night, a very welcome change from the recent shows at eleven50, and WELL worth the drive (and the complete lack of sleep, hehe)!!! The DJ who came on after PvD was also very impressive, dropping loads of new tracks, and keeping the crowd moving. Like I said in my previous post, it was also great to meet both Phil and Hagen, you guys are awesome! Now the pics:
Note the laptop, he was doing some final scratch at the beginning:

There were a few times when the crowd went absolutely insane:

Hot girls abound :)

Great lighting setup, these lasers really tripped me out (and they're gonna be at MOS!!! :) ):

Giving the crowd what they want (autographs, and lots of them):

Hope this gives yall a pretty good picture of the night. Oh, and btw, I got a 71 meg video of TOOL, unfortunately I was right next to some huge subs, so the sound gets a little distorted at times, but the visuals are amazing.

LeeAnn, I hope you feel better hun!!! I'm sorry you couldn't join us, but you were on our minds all night (well, most of it at least :tongue2)
Take it easy yall

First let me start off by saying this was the BEST set I have ever heard. SIMPLY INCREDIBLE

ALMOST ALL NEW TUNAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so we drive up to Charlotte from Atlanta and get there around 8 o'clock. Check into the hotel , got some dinner, and then went to the club. The club is this old beat up warehouse with three different rooms. Pretty cool and the main room held no more than 500 people. I'd say there were no more than 900 total. Edgar V was spinning some sick tunes and was building up the crowd nicely. It was packed, but with plenty of room to move. The DJ booth was about 2 feet from the dancefloor and I literally could have touched him. It was the most intamite setting I have ever been to. So around 12:20 Paul sets up the G4 and starts off I think with a Chris Leibing song. Then spun Digital Pressure-Aftershock. After that, I could not ID a thing. Everything was new and so intense. I have never heard him spin a set this hard and dark before. And he blew up these songs like there was no tomorrow.
The energy he created in that room was MAGICAL

Here are the tracks that I remember:
Holding onto Nothing
NBY
For A Revolt
Crush
TOOL both versions
Energize
Connected
Connective
Wondervol
Digital Pressure-Aftershock

Once again: Everything else was new. I mean totally different from the sets we have been hearing from the past 2 months.

Paul was very energetic with the crowd and tried dancing, but had no success (LOL)

The only problem of the night was that he finished at 2:45 and ended with Energize, but it was well worth the 3 hour drive. Big thanks to Edgar V for hooking me up and getting my VANDIT shirt signed.

It was great meeting Whitesmoke, Gavin, and Emil. You guys rock!!!

If he does what he did last night to Roxy on Friday, you guys are in for something COMPLETELY MESMORIZING.

PS:
I'm still blown away by what I saw last night!! OMFG!!

Dang it I'm always posting last. Everything's been said. The night seemed soooo short. 2hr set. But then again I realized the 1150 set was not too much longer. hot hoT HOT dancers on each of the 3 half cages. (see Gavin's pic above..). not too loud upfront (good for my ears...main speakers were in the back of the club hitting forward. Club atmosphere was awesome. great club.(I wasnt expecting much as long as PvD was spinning) The place was actually as big as The Riviera. Still they packed, I heard, 1300 people in.

FLAWLESS MIXING ALL NIGHT!
after he played Crush 4-5 song in, we could NOT id anything for like the next 5 tracks same as 1150 midway through...

thats all oh and he ended with nothing but you..into energize (My track of the night) and off course time of our lives chillout...
peace
