Nice Peter. I didn't know it was like that. Now I just have to get a working cd software burner set up properly so I can have cues. Nero doesn't work with an LG burner (at least not with mine).

i had an lg and used nero...this was about 4 years ago

all stereos dont abide by the pause as well

my cd/dvd player for my home system pauses no matter what...

really? i've never had that happen to me...i should try my dvd player to see if it has this problem too; but as far as portable cd players, stereo system, car stereo's, and so on are concerned, there shouldn't be a problem
Form&Funktion
If a que burn is done properly....it should never pause regardless of the output device you use to read/play it. THe only concern is with certain burning software if you do a burn copy of an already cued mix in disc-at-once, it will recut 2 seconds before each region change. This means there still will be no pauses but the last 2 secs of each tracks will disappear...mangling the flow of the mix.

its just as fast with a cue sheet, but you get the ability to skip between tracks ;)

Just joking, yeah I've never made cue files before. Next time I will for sure dude. Thanks for the headsup.

I'm with Halo on this one, I've never worked with Cue lists but I will try to have one with my next posted mix.

if you don't know how to make a cue file, or dont want to take the time, at least put the start/end markers of each track. some of us have already existing cue files that we can just use as templates for other sets.

all of my cds in my car are mp3 cds, and i haven't found cue sheets to be able to work with them yet ://

as Dj Eso mentionned, it does take some time which is why I don't post it. Althought I will post the tracklisting since it has been requested a few times.

gracias muchacha :)

and, everyone, as Liam said a few times earlier, a cue sheet does NOT affect the file. a cue sheet is a separate file - think of it as bookmarks in the mp3 file that your stereo can FFWD to, though it's still one file.

here is a sample cue file - substitute the track names, and substitute the time where you want the bookmarks. use your audio playback app to determine those times, if the DJ does not provide them:

however..IMO i think you guys should make cue files or traclists with time markers so that we can skip back and forth between tracks instead of holding that forward or reverse button for minutes together...

what do u guys think??:)

learn to make your own cue sheets, they don't take long just listen for the cuts in the songs :P

ohoh...

but anyways..when i get demo cds i usually prefer listening to the ones already cut rather than the ones that are single track...

goes to show how much effort a dj really puts in as well;)
