For those of you that have bought the vinyls, or are planning to, both Rusch & Elusive remixes have been mispressed. The "Rusch & Elusive Remix" should be a 10:55 long version instead of the pressed 11:41 version and should have a slightly lowered volume on the clap and the "Rusch & Elusive's Chill Out Mix" should have a rough sweeping synth at the end, aswell as some other alterations which aren't there. It's not a huge problem but unfortunately this doesn't "hurt" anyone other than myself and Elusive as most people won't know that the label, pressing plant or whoever's responsible, have pressed the wrong versions of our remixes; so if people dislike what they hear when they hear the unfinished versions, it'll just seem as if we've done less of a job than we really have.

| Damn, that's unfortunate man. But surely this should have been noticed when (if?) test pressings were made? :conf: |

You tell me, I sent Envio the two wav files a few months or so ago, since then I've not really heard anything about the release other than as answers to specific inqueries about it. I never got any test pressings so I don't know if they even were made. So finally I e-mailed Maykel a week or so ago and asked to be sent a few vinyls of both releases as I hadn't recieved anything regarding the first vinyl that had already then been out for a while; recieved them today. |

Now that's gotta be poor management on the label's part. It simply looks you were completely left out of the loop. You need to make sure things change with the label to ensure something like this doesn't happen again... |

Depends on how you see it, from an administrative point of view I'd say it's alot easier to just have one person to keep in contact with who in turn keeps track of the remixes for his own releases. As far as getting the correct files sent in though, I'd assume that having the remixers send in their own remixes would result in higher accuracy on that end.
Anyway, I don't really care who's fault it is and I'm not really interested in casting the blame on anyone - won't do me any good, I'm just sad it happened. |
