does Travolta like dance/trance music?

I was under impression today, after watching Swordfish (again!), that John Travolta might be a dance music fan. There's several scenes in the movie Swordfish where there's various trance/electro songs are playing and he's there ...

also, Travolta also starred in such movies with dance music as my beloved Saturday Night Fever, where he actually showed some really good disco moves ... I dont know, there's more examples of him and electronica music in movies, but do you TAs think that he has some sort of affection for dance music?

I personally do think so. What do you think?

Ehh...you do realize there's a difference between the people he plays in movies and his own personality? According to Pulp Fiction he's loving marilyn monroe and llikes Twistin'.....

but hey..there must be some fan websites where you could raise this question.

*sigh*

When I first got Internet access al I did was surfin travolta websites cause I loved him so much (mmmm Face/Off!):D

Well, I guess often actors in movies have different personalities than they do in real life. But dont you think Travolta would have declined to take part in the movie Saturday Night Fever, which is primarily concentrated on disco and night life! I mean, his dance moves were great, he wouldn't just spend a lot of time preparing if he didn't like disco! He'd rather have chosen to do a movie with rock music or something ... cause I know back in the 70s there even were bumper stickers that said "DISCO SUCKS" (it doesn't, you know!). Also, remember Grease? That movie had some disco .... .....:nervous:

he got roles like saturday night fever and grease because he was a good dancer. i'm pretty sure he used to do ballet and stuff so he's always been a dancer, but that doesn't mean he likes trance...i don't know though...

Actually he is rumored to be a big hybrid fan along with gillian anderson and tommy lee (who are HUGE hybrid fans). John Travolta is into a lot of different types of music, if you believe what you read. Then again, the guy is busy raising a family with wife Kelly Preston, so I doubt he gets to party often.

isnt he one of those scientologists or something?? some cult in america? :conf:

Um, if you take a look you will see that most of the movies that deal with "technical" stuff have electronica soundtracks. Swordfish, Matrix, Hackers, etc. I movies wouldn't be the same if they had say a rap soundtrack or any other genre. I don't think that the actors have anything to do with music is played in the movie or on the soundtrack. Unless of course an artist is starring in the movie (Ludacris, 2 Fast 2 Furious  )
