| I don't think he fits the gu mold...then again....gu will choose other deejays...we hope....lavelle gu026....can't wait. If they brought back the gu nubreed series....i could see schulz getting a chance. Seems like it is just the old names :( |

GU kicks ass. I have quite a few of them:
GU004 Oakey:Oslo (I think CD 2 is better personally)
GU007 Oakey:New York (So damn good, both CDs, Junk Project - Composure is wicked track
GU009 Sasha:San Francisco (Some pretty bangin prog here, full of solid tracks
GU011 Warren:Budapest (When my friends ask me what real trance is I play them this)
GU013 Sasha:Ibiza (Indescribable)
GU016 Seaman:Cape Town (Bangin album, one of the best for sure)
GU019 Digweed:LA (This one is a real journey)
GU020 Emerson:Singapore (Sounds great while driving)
GU021 Deep Dish:Moscow (Good album)
GU022 Seaman:Melbourne (The only one that I'm dissapointed in, the bar is quite high in this series after all)
GU023 Lavelle:Barcelona (Until this one, I thought that the series was losing steam, such an awesome album)
GU024 Warren:Reykjavik (Back to the trance and how lovely it is)
NU004 Kleinenberg:NUBREED (CD2 is pure ownage, CD1 is a trip)
NU006 Tomiie:NUBREED (Deep, dark, vintage Satoshi)
I'm really looking forward to 026 and the new Sasha series.

Hybrid:Paris
Jimmy van M:Luxemburg (This guy seriously deserves one)

Sasha isn't doing a new GU..well not GU 026 at least

GU013 Sasha - Ibiza <---- unbelievable, perhaps the greatest mix ive ever heard.
Now, please spare the flaming, as I am still quite the newbie on these forums even though I've been around a while. But I am not sure I understand the GU series. How does it work? Apparently after reading this thread it is still an ongoing series, but I thought they did a string of them one year and called it quits? I guess not...how does it work?:confused: |
