HAHAHHA what a joke, Ryerson easier???
Get your facts straight before you spew that out!
We do pretty much the exact same you guys do over at UofT, we even use the same text books in many cases. My good friend High On PSI can verify this. We're both in 4th year, he's at UofT and I'm at Ryerson, and we've concluded that the programs are very similar, both in material and difficulty.

Anyways, 1st year is rough, but that's the whole point, to separate the boys and girls from the men and women. Does it get any easier? generally no, the only difference is that you eventually get use to life of an engineering student.

uoft is EASY compared to some other school...queens has it really hard..my brother says hes getting 5 assignments A WEEK!!! this semester, ive had zero assignments, 4 'c' labs, 6 circuits labs (no writeup, its all done in class)
and like a midterm/final for every course, some courses have 2 midterms

thats it

I'm 3rd year Electrical engineering at UofT dude. Unfotunately, ya, you gotta struggle a bit 1st year, but on the bright side, you are building up this stamina for working hard. You'll probably find 2nd year easier, not because there's less work, but because you're just used to it already.

but 3rd year... it gets hard again!! I already warned resnick to prepare by stocking up on lubricant!! and not just any lubricant, i'm talking high quality that lasts!

but guys, it'll all be rewarding at the end..... hopefully

lol, And I thought I was the only one who enjoyed that sort of sense of humour... I say the same thing when it comes to massive assignments, exams, whatever.

kewlness: rofl, nice sig. i take it you saw those nge photoshops as well then :D

and to bassdrive: no, it's not wrong. to date, my highest grade was in japanese. i am a cs major, 3rd year. whaddafack. :p

currently i am ready to commit seppuku over this film studies paper: kurosawa's adaptation of macbeth, throne of blood. so much to talk about, so hard to focus on one theme.

May thy gods show'r arrows justly;
thine fountain o' being dusty.
Hecate, doth dwell in me,
, I'll play cs till 3!

:disbelief why can't i put that effort towards school... sigh...

Advice to kids: dont go into really any sciences unless you are really into it and are certain that what you want to do. Its the same at any university buddy. Engineering is tough . I know SO many people who went into it by default and got a serious kick in their asses.

i thought it suked too, and it still does. but im going bak neways for the hell of it.:) :) one more week of work and then school.

id say that about any program

dont let ur parents presurize u into doin somethign u dont want to

3/4 of the engineering students i know didnt join engineering cos they wanted to

and if ur parents didnt presurize u, dont complain cos u knew waht u were getting into
