Ignore that, it's the best ripper out there, due to the fact that it cand etect and fix bad rips as it works. No other ripper has a feature that comes close (although dbpoweramp is working on it). |

sounds cool...
ok... but, I install the program, and I have no clue what to do :conf:
lets say I have the cd in the driver, the program displays the tracks, and I want to burn the tracks to 192kbps mp3...
and to take things further, I want to burn a mixed-cd as 1 mp3
could you help a lil? |

Ah, i've misread your post. You said ripper, which means to extract audio, but it seems you want to burn rather than rip. From memory, EAC can actually burn as well, but I have no idea how etc, as I use nero for burning. I would take a look in the EAC Help file to see if it can indeed write as well as rip, but if it can't get your hands on nero burning rom.
/reminds self to read posts more carefully in future :p |

haha, I get it now :p
Ok, as you mentioned you'll get a list of all the tracks on the cd. On the left, there will be some large buttons, with pictures of a hard drive on them, and text like 'WAV', 'MP3' etc. From memory, all you need to do is to click on either wav or mp3 (You'll need to install the lame coded/lame/exe before ripping to mp3, do a search on google, it's everywhere) to rip, it should be fairly simple from there.
Having said that, EAC, whilst being the best, is also very complex, and has a LOT of options.
www.dbpoweramp.com is a simpler option (freeware as well, and not in beta), which also uses the lame codec. It wont require any explanations as eac does. They're also working on an eac like 'bad rip eradicator' system, so it really isn't such a bad choice for newbies/oldies alike. |
