How come this hasn't been done?

Obviously, for those of you who have gone into the tracklistings section of these forums, you notice there are all the tracklistings compiled for Paul Oakenfold's essential mixes in two stickies (one contains EM World Tour, the others from essential mixes not in 1999). I was wondering why we don't do this for other DJs who make regular appearances on the essential mix (i.e. Carl Cox, Sasha, etc.) It'd be helpful and reduce spam a little. :D

do a search in that section...there is one similar for sasha actually...but on TA not enough people can id the obscure stuff that he used to play so there wasn't much of a point...

plus think how hard that would be for carl cox? not enough people have those sets or like his style...but its a good idea :D

I personally don't see the point in having 2 stickies for the oakey ones. Why not just combine the threads and make the forum look less cluttered at the top?
Galapidate
What I was thinking is that, especially for Carl Cox, there are tracklistings already with only a few IDs missing. Maybe if people see the rest of the tunes on the sets and realize they like them, perhaps they'll download the set and ID the missing tune. Oakie's EMs have IDs that need to be filled also.

i kinda agree...the link that JayD made links to the other one anyway...also that might make people look at the other tracklists besides the 99 ones...

If all the Essential Mixes he did were posted, chances are they wouldn't all fit (there's a maximum number of characters per post).

No because we kept getting asked about the 1999 em, so we made a sticky then the same ppl came back asking us for the 1993-now's. If we combined both threads, they would be cluttered. Let's face it, jayd and andih have done a remarkable job trying to get some of the 1999 world tour correct. So it shall be left as is, for now.

Ok, now we know. But back to the original topic. Why don't we make stickies for other DJs' who make regular appearances on the Essential Mix for their tracklistings? I'd be up to doing it. :)

cuz if you look in the search

there should be a thread for carl cox em's, sasha em's

if you want...start a carl cox thread and get people to post in it and when people want to find his em's...they can search.

Sasha already exists I believe...as an essential mix thread.
Galapidate
Yeah, all we'd need though is someone to sticky it.

torontotrance
I got a better idea... the sticky..start a thread a pm me the link...i'll make a thread with the thread links (which will be stickied)..then it won't be cluttered...how does that sound?
Galapidate
Sounds good to me! So long as I get credit for my research :D
