In my opinion he wasn't. Stam was the only one who played at a high level. Van der Meyde had a few nice actions, but he hasn't given one good pass after. Funny how De Boer said the team had played with enough passion... I'm afraid we can't beat Scotland on wednesday, unless Advocaat changes the team on several places.

No doubt our defence played superbly today but I'm woried with how the midfield lost it in the second half. Seedorf done well when he came on and Van Der Meyde looked dangerous on the right, way too much time on the ball for both of them. Ferguson had no support in the middle with Dailly forced back in a man marking role. But still a wins a win, and if Wilkie and Pressley can play as superbly in Holland the Dutch will struggle to get through!

Scotland played with passion and desire and deserved their win. Holland didnt play their best. I think if holland score an early goal then they will go onto win the game by a few goals, but if scotland can hold out until half time 0-0, then who knows?

RVN and kluivert cannot play together, its obvious. Imo any player who plays down the managers tactics should be kicked out the team. The manager picks the team, not the player. PLaying for ur country is pride...just ask any scottish player that today lol

haha be prepared for the new dutch talents!

you beat a side of amateurs. when you play teams like italy and france you will be shown up for all your weaknesses.

don't take this result as anything to go by.

you said scotland was a very strong team and they would beat holland without doubt. but within a week they suddenly became a side of amateurs.

and i couldn't be more pleased with the result of the playoffs. or well, if wales beat russia it would've interesting as well. but spain and holland are soooo important for the euro. and croatia is a wicked team. and latvia are the complete unknown surprise that give diversity to the tournament. excellent :)

for a start i was being sarcastic when i said scotland have a stronger team, something which anybody outside of britain fails to recognise. (sarcasm - go look it up)

this scotland team is the worst in years and if you think the netharlands team will have it that easy against the likes of italy, france, england, spain, portugal, czech rep etc then your only kidding yourselves on. the dutch are a bunch of premadonas, the like of hoojidonk who is clearly only playing football for one reason $$$$$$$$. van nistelrooy who is one of the biggest cheats in the game, he's never of the ground and kluivert who has not been in form for about 5 years.

and i am in no way ashamed of my country, i am however ashamed of our football team cos its a well know fact scotland has produced the biggest legends in footballing history and now i'm forced to watch this .

the dutch will be lucky to get past the quarter finals and my money as i've said is on italy or france, portugal would be a good bet as well as its on home turf.
