Oh dear. As if dropping out of school wasn't bad enough (and goes against everything you're told as a child), having a $100 million empire doesnt mean she has business sense. I very much doubt that she runs all of her own affairs; that's what managers are for. Granted, she may have hundreds of fans who like her music (christ knows why) but to make it big in the pop world you need one of two things: talent or good looks. That's why I hate pop music so much. And I, for one, don't think it's talent that Britney's got.

Hehe, I don't hate Britney more than any other pop idol, but I do hate the whole pop music scene. I don't want anything to do with her or her music, but when threads like this appear, opinion threads, people are going to express themselves. I dont like Britney, I think she sucks. I dont mean to offend anyone who does like her, but that's how I feel.

Any moron can have a $100 million empire Erin; thats what financial advisors, marketing firms and so on are for. Of course she has the final say in everything; but it's "her people" that do all the work and present her with final solutions and "whats best" for her "empire".
And I don't get people who say "OMFG!! SHE"S SO UGLY!! I SEE WAY BETTER GIRLS ON THE STREET EVURY DAY!!!1"
First off, even though she's a dumb and may not be exactly what your tastes go for(because every guy has different taste in women); she's still got a in hot body. Second, if you see hotter girls on the street every day, then stop sitting by the computer talking about it and go talk to them if they're so hot. I wouldn't put Briteny (or however you spell that dumb name) in my top 20; but unless I'm in a club every day I'm not gonna see chicks with better bodies than her on a daily-basis. |

you all forget one thing: she (or her advisors) had planned it very thoroughly when to come to music scene [when there's a NEED of a talentless/voiceless girl with great work of producers/staff]... for eg, those who listened to rave/happy hardcore 10 years ago (i did listen to it, but i'm not ashamed), would know german artist Blumchen (Blossom). She was 15 when quite a big part of Europe listend to her (America & Asia didn't know what electronic music is back then). Why she didn't make it like Britney? Cuz there was an era of stupid gay boybands and funny girlbands...
the same story is about the Spice girls: they had a fckin stupid movie (that everyone laughed about), they had the fckin PEPSI commercial, they had 4 horrible albums and TONS of makeup and 'cheap' tasteless clothing.... but they KNEW THE RIGHT TIME TO COME and MAKE THE WORLD SAY WOW... [tho alot "wow's" were like "wow, how cheap can ppl get"]...
and the last part, about her looks: i do hate when ppl say how ugly she is... some1 said that if you see such beautiful girls/women everyday, GO AND TALK TO THEM inspite of telling how someone looks bad... one of my collegues in labs where i work said: "wow, JLo and Britney look horrific, no beauty at all" and i had to calm down 4 a moment without saying "look at the mirror you filthy witch, and if it won't collapse of your looks, you could say they are horrific"... tho she sux in music, she looks really great...
I agree with Streakfury, i don't like pop music scene myself as well, but i would rather listen [if i had to, for eg in the workplace] to someone with a good voice [like Christina], than someone with no voice at all [like brit]:nervous: |
