Alright, i've decided to make the plunge and get some decks. I'm getting CD decks since track selection takes priority, and i'm not earning enough to spend $50 per acetate. So what would you recommend? I've heard good things about the Pioneer 500s, 700s, and 1000s....
BTW, i'm starting from scratch, so any help with mixers / effects would be great too... |

| I have a pair of Pioneer 500 II LTD and they're great, except that they're huge. I love them, but now that I've had my Technics turnables for a while, I wish I had bought the CDJ100s since they're smaller and can fit side by side. Other than that, I luv them, but I played w/ my buddy's CDJ100s and they're better looking and have some cool effects which is nice to have if you're mixer doesn't. One thing for sure...go Pioneer. Of course, if you have a lot of cash, get the CDJ1000! But then again, for 2000 US dollars, I'd rather get two CDJ100s and 2 1200SLs. The CMX is nice too, but necessary if you have turntables and don't have space for your CD decks. Hope this helps... |
