| I have to tell you, I am part of the 30 something age group and I absolutely love trance music. But most of the people I know in my age group are too closed minded to even give it a try. I also find that depending on where you live, you'll find different age groups in Trance clubs: I live near the Washington, D.C. area and there are very few people in the trance clubs over 25. On the other hand when I go to Clubs in Miami you see people from all age groups in clubs. I love the Miami club scene...lots of fun.;) |

| In Toronto up here there are lots of older Trance Parties..... Say 25 and up.... It's to keep all the little raver kids and imature thugs out. Never been to one cause I am not older then 25 but I hear they are pretty popular. Give me an E mail if ya want the names of the clubs and promotors that have the parties case your in the Toronto area ;) |

I think trance music is something that everyone can love....im only 16 but i have reversed several "Grownups" thoughts of trance by playing them Delirium - Silence (DJ Tiesto mix) for example....
i think alot of older ppl want to stick to the music THEY always loved.....the music they have listened to since they were young... |

| I am 18, and I got my dad into trance amazingly (he is 46). He keeps giving me CD's and I'm burning him every liveset I can get my hands on. Him and his friends love trance, especially Tiesto and PvD. Quite amazing considering before that all he listened to was 70's disco stuff. |

<---------- 32 years old here and i Love Trance :)
been into trance from the start and will be into trance for as long as it's around.
and hey think how old Pete Tong is ! and he is still spinning Trance.
Who says Trance is only for the "young" ?
why should age detirmine a person's musical tastes ?
I know and have met, seen, spun for, danced with etc PPL of all ages who are into Trance :)

| I think its part of white culture in America. You get old, 'grow up', pop out a few kids, and listen to music that was popular when you were 20 for the rest of your life. Miami, for obvious reason is outside of that loop. I'm 24 and feeling the effect already. 99.9% of people outside of my circle of friends (and others in the scene) listen to muzik like Matchbox 20, DMB, and Train in my city... |

| prolly the majority of listeners are under 20.. i think its because by the time someone is 30 they allready have a choice in music that they love and that satifies them w/o the want to even give trance a lil try.. my sis who will be 30 this year took me to my first rave. along w/ our good friend who is 33. but they both still have young hearts. i know a good amount of people (through my sis) that are all around 30 who enjoy trance music. but to me 30 is still pretty young.. at least these days it is. i know when i was 15 i did not think that :p peace!! -layla |

My mom is in her mid 40's and she finds better trance livesets than i do on the internet... here i thought i was being a hard-ass, going on Tranceaddict.com and getting stuff and audiogalaxy, and here my mom is burning CD's that my friends want more than the ones I make!!!
damn all age groups music! :D
i really think its an all-ages music... although i have noticed that its not really until you are at least 20 that you REALLY get into it. My younger siblings (under 20) will listen to it, but not really dig it (i.e. go out and buy a CD). Anyone who is under 20 and REALLY into trance, is just really cool and ahead of their time i think...
Peace to all

| is trance music only for yong people? I def think not. I think that most people over 27 (just a rough estimate) tend to "grow up" ... and by "growing up" they think that involves listening to "normal" music. I know alot of people that are 30+ that listen to trance. I must agree Miami and NY are the exception of the age bracket of listeners. Its because in miami and NY theres such a diverse culture that no one gives 2 s what the other person does/wears/listens to. They except everything. Thats the problem with this society. People in general have a hard time excepting the "non-norm" and unfortunately i am afraid its forever going to be that way. People are set in their ways as far as their comfort zone and are stuck in their "box" that they dont know what else is out there and arent willing to except it. So instead they look down upon the ones have excepted it. Sucks doesnt it? |

well im about to go to college
but in the time that iv been home iv force fed allot of trance to my family. and my sister, and two parents both love it!
they do not go out on their own and find it. but if they hear me playing a tune they come into my room and ask who made it and stay for the track to end. |

Good answer... i can say that because I was like that: listening to music I grew up with. I can thank Napster for that. I discovered good trance music because of Napster and have BROUGHT more CD's in the past year and a half than I have my entire life. I can't believe how addicted to trance I've become. Usually I'm very even keel about everything; but trance music is so addictive.:D |
