right now i'm in the giggly state over music i just have to post.
this guy is such an amazing producer/sound engineer whatever you wanna call him

this guy blows my mind everytime i listen to one of his songs or remixs.

he produces under the name spooky
his songs "little bullet" and "belong" are ing amazing

he's done quite a few wicked remixs
his remix of Mandalay - deep love is insanly awsome. prolly one of my fav. songs

also all you people who love sasha's productions out there. he's pretty much the man responsible for them.
he sat in the studio and made xpander while sasha sat next to him and "told him what to do"
along with pretty much all of ADD minus Junkie XL's work (and James Holden was pretty much the man who made blood lock).

anyway, just don't think this guy gets enough credit on these boards

discuss.....

What has Charlie been up to besides Involver and the remix of Ashland's Clear?

Will he be releasing any solo stuff or remixes any time soon???

Although it may not be his "sound" right now, I absolutely loved his remixes of Wave 3. :)

i love charlie mays work and think he is very under credited as well. and honestly, i was rather dissapointed when i first heard sashas rework of belong on his involver album... i dunno... it kinda seemed like he butchered the whole tune. im prolly going against the grain but whatever. just my 2cents. first heard belong in a hybrid set like couple of years ago w/ wavy gravy & FSOl - Future kingdom. cant remember the date nor the name of the set for the life of me but i fell in love w/ spooky instantaneously. :) and well whats there to say about Little Bullet... lol... classic!

Just recieved my copy of MMII in the mail today myself...

Which of course includes 2 Charlie May productions..

Yea, very underrated, but that is how he wants it to be I think. He prefers to let others get the spotlight and just keep on making music. His most recent effort whould have to be Pin Drop - Corporate Entertainment, which came out late last year. Here's an interview with him: http://www.xpander.nl/index.cfm?special=133

I like the relatively recent Spooky release, "Andromeda"... really spacey melodies thar! :)

I don't think charlie may had anything to do with Involver. I read somewhere that it was all sasha

not 100% on that though

That would be 100 % wrong... Charlie May, among others, was also involved in producing some of the tracks on Involver.

^^^ Indeed, also with the CD release, it came with 10 cards which contained a little bit of info on each track; Charlie is mentioned a few times by Sasha.
